Who was the first person you told that we were engaged, and how did you tell them??

We were on vacation in the DR, and my family already knew, so we called his dad and his grandmother, and told them they could tell the family but we waited until we got home to tell our close friends.
Literally I'm standing in JFK calling my best friend and crying lol

Well a few of my friends and co-workers helped with the proposal so they were there to watch.

My dad! He was the only one we called from the beach where we got engaged. He was out of town and I'm so glad that I got to call him first in the spot i got engaged! When I got home my mom sister and his parents were at my house to celebrate.

FH proposed and after all was said and done I called up my mom who was expecting the phone call. She put it on speaker so I could tell the news to her and my brother :)

My dad. He works nights and I wanted to catch him before he fell asleep (Even though FH had asked him earlier that day).
Then we went over to my sister's place .. my mom was there so we told the both of them.

Well, everyone knew but me, so everybody was waiting by their phone for a text/phone call. But the first people I was able to share the news with were my 2 best friends from college who drove down from upstate NY during a blizzard all the way to Maryland to surprise me. FH had planned for them to be there right after the proposal It made the night even more special for me!! After that I called my mom who was waiting for my phone call who then shared with my aunt, uncle, cousin and my sister and her fiance my great news! My dad knew too and was also there. Best night of my life!!

My mom she had called to ask how my cat was he was a kitten at the time and we had flooded the night before. We live in a basement apartment and she was not happy. But everyone else was when i had told them.

My parents, who were sleeping. It was around midnight, and we were going to sleep at my parents house. My mom was in a NyQyuil coma and thought she had dreamed it...she came in my room screaming the next morning (out of joy).

I told a stranger standing next to me. LOL! FH proposed in front of the tree in Rockefeller Center and I tried calling my mom and dad but I was crying so much that I couldn't hold the phone still so I told a woman that was standing there with her man not sure and she was sooo happy and congratulated me and hugged me.

my dad. my family was all taking bets on when FH was going to propose esp. my Dad but when it came time to tell them no one had their phones on them! i had to have my cousins tell them to get their phones.
