What was your first thought/reaction when you met your FH?
After talking through text for 2 weeks and a few times on the phone, my FH met up with me late one Saturday Night after he got out of work. I was at a local bar with my gf. The minute he walked in I turned to my friend and said wow, i am going to marry that man one day lol. I had seen pictures but they can sometimes be deceiving LOL. My initial reaction was based on his looks but then as I got to know him more and more I realized everything about him was what I had always been looking for.

we met in a bar and I was on 'relationship strike' so when I met him I wasn't looking for anything serious but he was so cute so I let my rule of one date and move on slide LOL also he was funny and cool and all those other things that I like so much
but first reaction was 'he's cute'

I met FH in college and when we first met I thought he was just loud and obnoxious but as I got to know him I realized that while he was loud, he is sooooo sweet and charming!!!! It took us about two months to actually become friends but I am soo glad that we went through that as it really let us get to know each other as friends before rushing into anything.

Well, since I met Fh at our company holiday party- I didn't think anything of it at the time- I was new to the company & was just happy someone was talking to me .....after a couple hours of an open bar I had no problem chatting him up! I ended up staying over his place because I missed the last train home & the next wasnt until 6.30am...nothing really happened though...well except I was super hungover on the longgggg train ride home :-P

When FH and I first got introduced years b/f we even started dating I had no 'OMG I want to marry him' reaction. It was like Oh hey nice to meet you. It wasn't until later on that we started talking and going out that I was like WOW I really like him. One important thing that attracted me to him most was that he was a great dancer and during that time we used to rock the dance floor at parties. lol.

The first time I met my FH was about 4 years ago when I was dating someone else, so my intitial reaction was 'wow what an a-hole' haha :p
When we met again, I still had those same judgements about him, but after talking all night, they completely changed and now, he's my FH

I met FH online, and had so many online dates over the years that I didnt let myself get so excited. We met mid- March, spoke on phone and text for 2 weeks, and had our first date 4/2/10.
Honestly, I drove by him while he waited outside the bar we scheduled to meet at, and he had this awful grey windbreaker on. I thought 'ugh, another loser'.... LOL! But then we had a fabulous 4 hour date drinking, talking, eating etc, and I knew we would go out again.

I had been on many first dates (from match.com) so I had the jitters on the way to meet him as usual. But instead of the guarded, shy and polite front I usually had on first dates, as soon as I saw him I felt comfort and relief. He gave me a genuine smile and a big hug whent we met and I thought, 'I could get used to this.'
We had a long walk and talk on the beach and it was just so natural. Afterwards I stayed to watch him play softball and I sat there envisioning myself sitting at the same field watching him play, looking around at his teammates and wondering who I'd still know in years to come.
I know that sounds like a bit much to be thinking/feeling on the first date but I just had a hunch andit turns out I was right!
Can't wait to take our e-pics at our meeting place TOMORROW!!!

FH and I were set up through a mutual friend, I refused to go on a blind date so I had told her to tell her to 'friend me' on myspace so I could check him out lol..which I did and thought he was really cute so we spoke online, emails, texts for about 2 weeks or so before we actually met for our first date, he picked me up and we went to a movie, I felt comfortable around him because I felt like I knew him already, I really loved that we got to know each other and build this friendship before we met in person and saw how each other really looked lol....we hit it off and I thought he was really cute in person and the rest is history!

We first met in middle school and my thought was 'Shy, too broad of a sholder, geeky guy'. The second time I met him I thought 'He grew up to be cute and is not shy anymore.'

we would hang out at the same bar on tue nights, not talking and one night we started talking and one thing led to another and now we are engagaed
i think if a friedn did not try to set me up with FH friend we may never have talked

I was in awe!! We were in a middle of a concert, and he gave me a note and I was frozen!!! LOL my friend who was with me at the time, was screaming 'That is your husband, you jusst met your husband'. He told me he came home and told his mother 'I just met my future wife'. I cant effin wait to marry my baby!!

My first reaction to FH was he's cute, but too shy for me. I was also in a relationship at the time and wasn't really looking for anything. After that ended FH and I started hang out more and I realized that he really wasn't all that shy. We clicked and have been together ever since.

We met via match.com so I remember waiting in my car before our first date. I was so nervous, that I didn't want to get out and be the first one there so I sat waiting. He called me wondering where I was and told me he was there and would meet out front. When I got out of the car, I saw a very tall man walk around to the front of the restaurant and I remember thinking 'Ooooh, I think thats him' with a big smile on face. We were both so nervous about that the other would not look like their pictures, but that wasn't a problem at all. We clicked instantly. Best (last) first date ever!

I met FH during the first week while at my new job. My art director brought me down to meet the lunch crew.
I sat across from him, and he was really quiet. My thought was I wanted to get to know him and get him talking..
