My whole childhood was surrounded by Disney Princesses. Every day i wanted to be a different one. I had costumes, movies, sing alongs, barbies, games and whatever else my mom could find...
Ariel was always me favorite for a few reasons:
1. i loved to swim
2. I love red hair
3. it was the first movie i ever saw in the movie theater with my dad
4. It came out the day my sister was born Nov. 14th 1989
Sooo... my QOTD is who was your favorite disney princess growing up... and if you weren't into the whole princess thing who did you emulate as a child ?
My Fave Disney Princess was Princess Aurora!! aka Sleeping Beauty!
I loved everything about that movie!! watching it over and over! loved when she was singing in the woods with the animals! love the part where the 3 fairy godmothers tried to do things without magic!! and my favorite party was when she was dancing with the prince and they kept changing he dress from pink to blue!! always wished i had fairy godmothers!!!
I LOVED Ariel.......She was by far my favorite. The Little Mermaid was the first movie I saw ( that I can remember) and I just fell in love with it the second I saw it. I loved the music, the fact that she lived under the sea.....I still love it. I really want to see the Broadway show but FH doesnt want to go with me. Haha go figure
Cinderella! I loved the story of Cinderella - I love the music, I love the mice, I just love it. Even now, I collect Cinderella stuff: glass slippers, the coach, the castle, etc.

I have to agree here...i think it is one of the most underrated disney movies! Definitely my favorite by far!
I wasnn't into princess or anything girly for that matter. I used to cut the head off of my barbies.. I think it had to do with the fact that from the day I was born my two best friends were boys and they made me kill bugs and play in the dirt.
however, if I had to redo it all I would probably pick belle
Wow that shows the age difference between us. I was already 9 when Little Mermaid came out , 11 for Beauty and the Beast, and 12 by Alladin. The whole Disney princess phenomenon (they way they put them on party plates and push 'The Disney Princesses' didn't really start until I was to old.
After I was 11, Belle was my favorite princess. But I was getting to old by then for the whole princess thing.
Growing up always loved Aurora. I loved her singing in the forest with her prince and I especially loved the end when her dress went from pink to blue to pink to blue. Though personally I liked it pink. I was Aurora (in blue) for Halloween in 2nd grade. I was Alice in 3rd (and as an adult) who was another of my Disney favorites growing up.
By the way, she was my favorite princess but it wasn't my favorite Disney movie because Maleficent scared me to death.
(Weird side note, my parents and I were just talking last night about how inaccurate the Disney versions of these stories are.)

Same here more or less..I forget the exact ages LOL...but hands down, my favorite is Belle. To the point that if I had more than 2 months to plan this wedding, I would be buying one of the dresses from the Belle line of Disney Princess wedding dresses. And if I am blessed with a daughter, I am naming her Isabelle.
Hands down Aurora. As already mentioned, Sleeping Beauty is by far the most underrated Disney movie. I used to watch it over and over again. I also used to watch the 'Faerie Tale Theatre' version with Shelley Duval...did anyone watch those?
I'm also an Ariel girl! I'm a redhead myself so I always identified with her more than the other princesses. (Side note my sisters' birthday is also Nov. 14th but 1991!)
Although I must add I do love ALL things Disney. I buy all the DVD's as they come out and have them unopened and arranged alphabetically

So I was just looking at your post a little closer and realized not only do we both like Ariel and have sisters' with the same birthday but we're getting married a day apart at the same place! Talk about coincidence! Which room are you in at JT?
