My whole childhood was surrounded by Disney Princesses. Every day i wanted to be a different one. I had costumes, movies, sing alongs, barbies, games and whatever else my mom could find...
Ariel was always me favorite for a few reasons:
1. i loved to swim
2. I love red hair
3. it was the first movie i ever saw in the movie theater with my dad
4. It came out the day my sister was born Nov. 14th 1989
Sooo... my QOTD is who was your favorite disney princess growing up... and if you weren't into the whole princess thing who did you emulate as a child ?
believe it or not..i never wanted to be a disney princess..i know shoc..they were too girl for me..i like all the disney boy characters lol..i was such a tomboy
if i had to pick one i would pick aurora from sleeping beauty cause its my fav disney movie,but as a child i was obsessed with penny from nspector gadget
i wanted to be her..i even made my own computer book...i loved how she explored and got dirty

CINDERELLA!!! hands down. I can recite the ENTIRE movie from beginning to end....with some soundtrack effects and exactly when they happen. (I'm obsessed!!!!) FH bought me a special 4 disc version of the movie that has a film slide, and alot of extra features and songs.
I also own Cinderella II and Cinderella III.
And 3 years ago ( I still use it) FH bought me a Cinderella comforter and it has her on it and it lights up and makes magis sounds. Its awesome.
CINDERELLA!!! hands down. I can recite the ENTIRE movie from beginning to end....with some soundtrack effects and exactly when they happen. (I'm obsessed!!!!) FH bought me a special 4 disc version of the movie that has a film slide, and alot of extra features and songs.

My favorite was Jasmine, I've always been intruiged by genies, 1001 Arabian Nights, and monkeys with an attitude. My nickname from my mother since birth, ironically, has been Abu (why? who knows), even before the movie came out, so we got a big kick out of it when we saw it.
I was probably more like Belle though, a little bookish.
I have to agree with all of the ladies who said Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. My sister and I would watch Disney movies all the time as kids and we always watched Sleeping Beauty & The Little Mermaid over and over. My fav part too in Sleeping Beauty was when the fairy godmothers kept changing her dress...personally, I like the blue one!
I am also older than most of you ladies (almost 31 ) so even though I loved movies like Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin...I didn't really 'want' to be Belle or Jasmine.
BTW...I drink my coffee out of a pink Winnie the Pooh mug...lolol
Ariel! My sister and I used to sing all the songs from the movie while swinging on the swings in our parents backyard! My favorite Disney movie was always Dumbo though. No princess' in that one!
My Fave Disney Princess was Princess Aurora!! aka Sleeping Beauty!
I loved everything about that movie!! watching it over and over! loved when she was singing in the woods with the animals! love the part where the 3 fairy godmothers tried to do things without magic!! and my favorite party was when she was dancing with the prince and they kept changing he dress from pink to blue!! always wished i had fairy godmothers!!!

The Little Mermaid was my first Disney film so Ariel was def my favorite princess growing up. If you compare all the other princesses, I think she's beautiful among Belle, Cinderella and Snow White. I guess Snow White would be the closest resemblence to me, lol. She has black hair and dark eyes and we both have light skin. I also dressed up as Tinkerbelle, I guess we all had our fairy moments.
I wasnn't into princess or anything girly for that matter. I used to cut the head off of my barbies.. I think it had to do with the fact that from the day I was born my two best friends were boys and they made me kill bugs and play in the dirt.
however, if I had to redo it all I would probably pick belle
lol, we have something in common. I used to do the same thing! I made some vicious ugly Barbies in my days by giving them ugly hair cuts. I grew up around mostly boys too. I still don't know how to jump rope or play hop skotch, lol. I grew up as a tom boy, I was def more into basketball and hockey. boy..memories...
