wednesday wedding??

so we are not set in stone about our wedding date yet, so while talking with FH we decided to consider a september wedding. but he picked September 22, because its bilbo baggins for lord of the rings birthday & also the day his parents got married. but in 2010 is a wednesday. i feel its very inconvient & makes us look cheap. opinions please

i am going to ask my moms opinion at lunch. my parents told me over the weekend that they are willing to pay for the RH so if they can spend the same amount as they would for a saturday wedding, but get more on a wednesday they would be all for it, but i have a feeling my mom is not going to like the idea, which means FH is out of luck. btw i work with FMIL & she said he is crazy & that she is not taking off from work because her son is an idiot. lol.

but to answer the question: i'm getting married on a thursday as well and i don't regret the decision at all! FH and I are paying for the wedding so we have to make the decisions that is going to work for us and our pocktes. people will have 2 years to plan for it and if they really want to be there, they will. I never would have imagined me getting married on a thursday but, now that it's set, I'm LOVING it! and people will not think u are cheap!

i agree that you should do what you want. if that date is sentimental to you than go for it!! if you send out save the dates people will have plenty of time to prepare for it and make arrangements to get off of work.
