Week of weight loss?
Any recent or soon to be brides notice that they've dropped a few pounds in the two weeks or so before their wedding? I had pretty much given up on losing weight but to my surprise I was down about three pounds this morning, without really trying. I don't know if I should be elated or concerned (though my recent dental drama may hve contributed)

Re: Week of weight loss?
This happened to all of my married friends the week of their wedding. It's the stress and all the running around. You should be happy!!!

Yes, I'm getting married the same day as you and like you had given up on losing too much more. But between the lack of sleep and nervous energy the past few days, I've been losing about a pound a day for the past few days. I completely understand!

Re: Week of weight loss?
Yeah i lost quite some weight the last two weeks, the problem was that i didnt want to. I had already had last fitting and wanted to stay that weight since it fit perfectly. I would even eat pasta and other heavy things whenever i got the chance to the last 2 weeks but still didnt help. Also bc i was running around so much and barely had time so didnt do it that often. Dress was a little loose but not that bad.

I lost over 5 lbs within a week before my wedding without trying...It's the madness of running around and not eating as much...Totally normal! Happens to many brides.

Re: Week of weight loss?
I definitely lost weight within the last two weeks of my wedding. I picked up my dress the Thursday before my wedding(wedding was that Sunday) and something told me to try it on. They ladies in the shop let me try it on with no problems since the store was empty. To my surprise the dress was too big. The seamstress did a quick take-in right under the arms and it was fine. However on my actual wedding day, i must've lost more weight within those 3days because the dress was damn near falling
I had to take off my spanx and the adhesive cups I had on. I had to try to let all my fat hang to take up some of the slack
As I was walking down the ailse, I basically had to try to keep my arms pinned down to my side to hold the dress
Just make sure you have an emergency kit that contains some heavy duty safety pins and son fabric tape just in case you need to do some last minute alterations.

its great if you do it before your last fitting lol. I never complain about losing weight trust me, i had started eating right and working out about a year before my wedding so i was very focused on that. But i didnt want my dress to be loose, i notice it in SOME pics and how i felt that day, i felt it loose. You want the dress to fit perfect so as long as you lose weight without at the expense of the dress not fitting well lol
i wish i wouldve gone like a week before for last fitting but bc of my schedule i did it 2 weeks before to get it out of the way since i had so much left to do the week of. Or to get the major things 2 weeks before but week of just go to try it on to see how it fits.

Re: Week of weight loss?
Could I just lose the weight in my arms?I'm so second and third guessing this whole strapless dress thing... but a bolero in July seems so wrong...
I need a arm-training partner!! Any ladies in Brooklyn wanna work out?
