Weekend Getaway!

FH and I want to take a break from planning and get away for the weekend. Anyone have any recommendations that aren't too expensive?

Mystic is where my FH and I got engaged, so its extra special to me. Try the Whalers Inn, very close walk to all the restaurants and little shops and bars, which is especially helpful since parking is pretty tough. We also went sailing and hit up the vineyards, although I don't know if they're open or not, but def check it out! Its a lovely little place :)

we do alot of indoor stuff so its prefect. old mystic village is the only thing that's outside. it's seet up like an old village and each house it's actually a store ( selling modern things lol) so the walk from store to store would be out side but the stores r indoors.
we stay out of mystic bc we go to Mohegan Sun everytime we r there so we stay between mystic and what ever town the casinos are in. wehave stayed at a super 8, and a raRamada. the Ramada has an indoor pool. I feel like the whaler inn was the one I found when I looked for my birthday and it was like $65 not to bad!

Def a nice place! :) I think we stayed at a separate area from the main part of the inn, that was exclusively for couples. So no running into kids when you're trying to enjoy a romantic wend lol

This is where we stayed. The king rm runs about 200 a night, but its so cozy with a fireplace and huge jacuzzi tub. :)

Just like to note, I took this pic right before he proposed by the fireplace…he couldn't wait to even unpack! lol
