Please reccomend where you completed your weekend catholic precana. My church wants us to complete it over a span of 3 week! Can you please tell me where you did your weekend retreat and or if you know of any?

We just booked our's for the first weekend in June, but it's with the Brooklyn-Queens Diocese. They have a list of weekend ones. 7:30-9:30 Friday night and 9-5 on Saturday.

wow- its $400 a couple! i just looked up www.engagedencounter.org nd it was a similar price. do you know if this is the typical price?

We did pre-cana over the course of 4 weeks (an hour a night or so) for 3 Sundays. The 4th Sunday, we went to mass as a group and had our 'graduation' party. I honestly loved pre-cana.
I can't imagine sitting through it all weekend though - I didn't think 3 Sunday evenings for an hour was a lot at all.

that doesnt seem too too bad. my fiance's schedule is always crazy busy and inconsistant with his work so i think a weekend would be better for him but not for such an expensive price. do you remember how much the 3 weeks cost?

The cost depends on the parish. Our pre-cana fee was included in the church fee ($650) that we paid. DH had the same issue with the work schedule but it all worked out in the end and I don't think either one of us would have been able to sit through an entire weekend of it.

I just did mine this weekend at St. Patrick's in Bay Shore. It was included for us, but you can probably pay to do it if you're not getting married there.

Kellenberg. I think it was $300, but it was worth it to get it done in 2 weekends. (1 day each)

We're doing ours through the Brooklyn-Queens diocese as well.
It's a Friday night and all day Saturday. We're doing it at the Douglaston location on May 14,15.

i am also doing it with the brooklyn-queens diocese and its only $200 - not $200 per person. so $200 per couple. i went on a friday night and then a saturday. i don't see why you have to spread it out over 3 weeks, unless you would like to.
friday night they say from 7:30 to 9:30 but it is just a prayer service and usually ends before this.
Saturday is from 9-5 but we left at 3:30pm - depends on the couple presenting
