Weekend Shopping Roundup ... Invites, Veils (LONG)

Well, it`s been a crazy past few days, but I thought a very productive one. Here`s my opinions of my recent invite experience. A while back while shopping for curtains at The Curtain Shop in Massapequa, we found next door neighbor Bridal Boutique. Unfortunately they were closed that day (a Monday). Later we found out friends of ours went there for their invitations and favors, and they said they liked working with them. So, on our quest to find invites, that`s where we went. They have tons of books and we found a couple we liked. I have been very picky about invites. So many invites that have pretty designs look and feel unbelievably cheap to me when seeing the actual product as opposed to how it looks on-line. But, like I said, Bridal Boutique had tons to look at and we did find a few we liked. The best part is, they offer discounts. Prices in the books are discounted 15%, but if you purchase favors along with invites, the prices are discounted 25%. We were told the invites will take 2-3 weeks to come in after being ordered and will be going back in the next couple of weeks to finalize our choice on which invite we like best. While I already ordered my veil (and need to go pick it up), we sat in the shop for a few hours going through all the books. In that time, I heard how great the help was for all those who stopped in shopping for veils. They seem to have a nice selection, and the people seemed extremely helpful. Bridal Boutique also has mail boxes, bird cages and more to choose from for collecting cards/gifts during the reception. They both rent and sell them.
