Weekend update and of course, drama stuff!
Don't quote, I am sure I will erase at some point!
Paid off the Florist - made a bathroom basket - third dress fitting and friend learned how to do my bustle - final rabbi meeting - bought some HM clothes - started a mock seating chart (the perks of a 60 person wedding is that seating is a breeze!).
Now for the 'fun' stuff, the drama.
My sister (MOH) is causing major drama by asking me to pay for an extra hotel room so a guy can come hang out with her at the hotel (he isn't even coming to the wedding!) and she wants to hang out with him rather than spend time with me and the family. Which will pretty much leave me sitting in my hotel room alone in the days before my wedding. Apprently my wedding is getting in the way of her social life for a whole weekend. Super fun. Dad let her have it last night. Did I mention that I paid for her dress, her hair, her makeup, her flights, and her hotel room for 4 nights?
We have had an unprecedented number of no's and there is no way we can reach our minimum now, and we are totally out of people to invite.
And the latest drama --- this weekend due to all of the family no's we decided to also invite an old childhood friend from the area in order to try to re-kindle that friendship. I had her street address but I wasn't sure if it was still right, so I went to facebook because she is my friend on there to email her to check on the address. And lo and behold, turns out she de-friended me within the last few weeks I guess!!! This is someone I have known since pre-school. So I emailed her, and let her know about the wedding invite, and I got back a message about how I wasn't really serious about being her friend and that she doubted I wanted to really invite her to my wedding because the invites would have had to go out by now. I wrote back that she hadn't made much of an effort to contact me so my invite was a way of reaching out to HER, and that I was inviting her now because our wedding is small due to cost reasons and finally enough family and family friends said no. So that pretty much ended that.
Between MOH and my former friend, I am in a really grumpy mood today.
