Our dog is two and she is still in the crate. If it was up to me the dog would not be in their while we are at work but my husband is nervous that she will sit on the sofa (silly I know) and he doesnt like it when animals are on the furniture. Is their anyway to to convience my husband to have Roxy have some rein of the house.

Re: Weening off the crate..
I was right along with ya till you said 'sit on the couch', our problem is more like 'eat the couch'...lol. Baby is still in her crate too (she's a year & 10 months), so I need help too.
If she enjoys her crate, dont wean her off of it. They naturally like their crates, its something with their wolf-like nature and the den feeling. But if you can get some baby gates to fence off the rooms you dont want her in, that works too.
