How much weight have you gained since your wedding? I was NEVER one to have to worry about my weight, but ever since my wedding I have gained quite a few pounds (between 5-10...not sure how much). I have a wedding to go to tomorrow night and I tried on a dress I wore one year ago today and it wouldn't zipper!!! I can't believe it!!! And, I am very upset about it. Time to get running on the treadmill.

Re: weight gain
I'll be honest, I havent gained any weight. My weight loss surgery sort of prevents that though there are some people who can and do gain. However, I hadn't been feeling that great because I stopped working out a while ago and lost the toning and strength I worked so hard for. It made a difference in how my clothing fit as well as my stamina. I started going back to the gym to get it back, but I have a ways to go. A guy at work said to me ' I dont want you to take this the wrong way, but have you been working out?' I think he didn't want to insult me or did not want to seem innappropriate by giving me a compliment on my appearance. I told him it was ok and then reminded him that my DH was built like a defensive tackle!

Re: weight gain
since the exact day of my wedding, 10 pounds. I was 5 pounds under my normal weight that morning, so even though I gained 10 since that day, it's only five pounds more than my normal weight. (This is how I justify it to myself!) And at my size, 5 pounds is a lot. I will go to the gym...I swear.

If you're saying that 5-10 pounds is quite a bit of weight, then I won't even tell you what I've gained.

Kelly, go easy on yourself. If you DIDN'T gain weight considering your circumstances, I would have to make a few phone calls!

I gained about 10lbs since the wedding and it has nothing to do with being pregnant LOL

Re: weight gain
I got some. I am afraid to weigh myself. It is much more than 10. Just started back at the gym. Trying to walk when I can.

Re: weight gain
Thank you for saying this- it is making me feel so much better! I am not alone! I've definitely gained more weight than I wanted to (I'm not sure how much). About a month ago I decided I was going back on the pre-wedding diet, and I'm starting to feel so much better about myself.

Re: weight gain
At the high point, I gained 20 pounds, but I also lost about 20 pounds in the months before my wedding by eating in a way that I knew then I couldn't maintain. I've started eating better in a maintainable way and going to the gym and I've already lost a couple of pounds so I'm on my way to a weight I want in a way that's more healthy than I did before so it's much more likely to stick with me this time around. My husband's love of chinese food is only partly to blame :)

Re: weight gain
I've gained 5-10 pounds, but I'm staying active, so I feel healthy and I notice it more around my hip area now, but I'm still enjoying life and things will change over time.

Re: weight gain
I'm not sure how much I actually gained because the battery in our scale died but, it's been something!
I've been trying to eat better and get to the gym more. I've noticed that my clothes are fitting better which makes me happy!
I really need to get back on WW, that should help.

Re: weight gain
I gained 13 lbs. I am sooo not happy but I was not a realistic weight on my wedding day. I weighed less than I did in HS and that was like nothing. I prob could never get that skinny again But it was not healthy i was soooo stressed from the wedding I was not eating
i think I am healthier now but I still wanna drop like 5 lbs
