Weight issues for pictures

Weight issues for pictures

Would you rather look at your wedding pictures and say 'Wow look how skinny I was', or look at yourself and say ' thats who I am, if you don't like it don't look?' I only ask because after my son was born, I lost ALOT of weight, (unusual I know) but I'm 5'11 and 140 lbs.Too thin. I want to go back on my protein diet, and be muscular and bulky as opposed to thin and frail. Call me crazy, but I'm not happy in my body now, and I have 7 months to do it. Your thoughts?

You know how I feel. If I dont lose 30 pounds I am not walking down the aisle. Well 37 pounds to go now.

i want to be myself. i don't want to look back on my pics in 2 years and say 'wow- remember that crash diet i went on to look like that?', knowing I'll never look like that again.

I've been the same size/shape since freshman year of HS - I don't think it's gonna change anytime soon, unless I make some HUGE lifestyle changes.

I give you EMMENSE credit for that.. you go girl!

I used to always say as soon as i get engaged im hitting the gym EVERY SINGLE DAY until the wedding... ask me how many times ive been there since.. yea... NONE...

I kinda feel the same you do, I dont wanna look back and say WOW i was so thin!!! I wanna say WOW I LOOKED HOT! whether I'm 10 pounds MORE or LESS... [preferably less though...]

I am 5'11' but no where near 140 lbs....the lowest I would want to get to is 160-150....I say do what makes you happy, if you feel better more muscular and toned then do that. I probably wouldn't want to look at myself either and say, I think that was too skinny....

but good for you being to thin and so tall as well...

You should do whatever you feel most comfortable with. If you like to have more build than you should do that.

I am happy with the way i look in my dress - i think i would be even happier if i lost maybe 20 lbs but my real concern is my honeymoon. We're going to tahiti (hopefully) so i want to be able to strut around in a bikini top and shorts and not scare anyone, especially my new hubby

I eat like a horse.. and people always say ' wow your the only bride we know that isn't dieting'
Dont get me wrong I dont eat cr@p often but in general i eat a lot.
The way I see it is.. i dont want to look at my pics in 1 year form now when im back to my normal weight and say wow.. i look nothing like that anymore.
My hunny fell in love with me and asked me to marry him when i weight at my existing weight. As long as he loves me then im happy!!
Alll i do.. but i always did is try to keep toned.

Well, I already lost 30 pounds on Weight Watchers. I want to lose 10 more pounds before my fittings. My main concern now is to tone up. I want to look healthy, not frail and weak. As long as I look healthy, I am happy

I think you should do whatever makes you comfortable whether it be gain weight, lose or stay the same.
I personally want to defintiley lose, I joined a gym and plan on losing but also keeping it off, not just for the wedding.

The funny thing is that I am actually not to concerned about my weight. I mean I would love to lose at least 10lbs for the wedding, but if I dont, it wouldnt bother me. I am 5'6 and weigh 160lbs...i could afford to shed a few pounds..but its not on my list of Have to do things. But good luck to all you other girls.

when i got engaged i was at my heaviest - and i was very upset with myself - but i dont know if its stress or nerves but i dropped down to a weight i havent been since HS! If i stay where i am right now i will be happy but i think the closer and more nervous i get. . . i will keep dropping the weight and end up being the ugly skeleton in a wedding dress which i dont want at all!

but i AM going to Italy in a few weeks i am sure that i will pick up a few pounds there!

I used to go to the gym 5 days a week but for the past year I've been really bad about it...I feel so flabby...

Started going back again 3 weeks ago and I feel so much better about myself already...I want to look toned and healthy for the wedding!

Lucky you! I wish I was too thin! I can understand though where you are coming from. Just like all us girls who feel fat and want to lose weight, people can feel too thin and want to gain, well, in the right spots! I just want you to feel good at your wedding, thin, or 'larger' haha I looked at your pic, you are stunning and with a FH, baby, and a ring like that, I don't know how you could feel anything but good

I want to look like the best version of me. I just really want to tone up. Nothing crazy. Not going on a crash diet. I think all our FH's fell in love with who we are and he wants to see YOU walking down that isle. So, I'm definitely going to be me.

I would say do what is comfortable for you, what you feel is right. If regardless of the wedding you would like to gain wieght, then please do so.

I know I want to lose weight and tone up again regardless of the wedding. It is not because of the wedding that I want to do it. It's just that the wedding makes it a goal.

Good luck with your decision.
