Weight Loss!

Weight Loss!

What have you girls done to lose weight that has worked?

My FMIL took engagement shots of us yesterday (pics will be posted as soon as she emails them all to me! They are awesome....she is an amazing photographer) and with the few she emailed me she also sent some pictures she took of us when we first started dating. I WAS SO SKINNY!!!!

I know I'm not so far away from where I was (like 10-15 pounds?) but I don't really know what to try. Anddd it sucks that weekends always consist of drinking, so any low-cal alcoholic beverages that you girls can suggest would be awesome as well....I think that has a lot to do with it!

What's worked for you? I want to be in amazing shape for next summer and of course my wedding

Re: Weight Loss!

the only thing that has worked for me was weight watchers...and that meant going to the meetings, following the plan and weighing in every week.

P90x and thedailyplate.com. I never realized that actually watching what i eat matters i used to have a high metabolism and now it's eh... but counting calories helped

also P90x is great b/c it's a change of workout everyday. i highly recommed it

Re: Weight Loss!

I always loved Nutrisystem. The only thing that really works for me is portion control.

What I've been doing is the following:

Breakfast
1 cup of Kashi Go Lean Cereal
1/2 cup fat free milk

Lunch
Whole wheat bagel thin
WW cream cheese (in the individual packs)
Green Giant Just For One vege pack

Yogurt for snack

Dinner
To mimic Nutrisystem I've been having a Healthy Choice or LC, something like that. Lower sodium options. Adding a little steamed broccoli or having an apple with it for more food.

I probably don't eat enough. But this is the only thing that is working so far.

I'm the total opposite! I cannot eat if I'm stressed/anxious. Even if I do eat (and I eat total crap) I feel like my body just burns it off bc I'm stressed and my metabolism is on overdrive. I'm worried that I will literally be a toothpick by the time the wedding comes!

I'm in the same situation! I put on 15 pounds since FH and I started dating and everytime I look at old pics I'm like OMG I looked so much better back then!!!

I joined weight watchers and started going to the gym 3 times a week, I've taken off 5 pounds so far.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I was thinking WW online....and I have heard P90X works for just about everyone!

I also wanted to share this site for any runners--I use this all the time, you map out your run and it tells you how many miles it is:

In regards to alcohol, my co-worker told me to try crystal light on the go packets and vodka - it saves the sugar of the mixers and you can get raspberry or peach or something.

good luck!

Re: Weight Loss!

I would just try not to indulge.. portion control... try to go to the gym 2-3 times a week even if it's just to walk on a treadmill

I always try to keep my breakfast and lunch healthy,., dinner is usually when i save the calories...

for drinks... have red wine, lightt beer or skinny margarita, martini's are pretty good too
