How much weight did some of you loose between the time that you ordered the dress and your first fitting? If more than 15 lbs, was it a major issue with the seamstress?

I lost 3.5 inches around my waist...my dress has details in the back...they take care of it no problem!

My sister lost a LOT of weight between the time she ordered her dress and the time it came in. I Think she lost 4 dress sizes! her dress had to be re-created (which ended up costing more than the original dress did!)
I don't think 15 lbs would be a major issue.

I asked the same question when I ordered and they siad that as long as you dont go out of the 1 dress size range you will be fine

I lost 20 pounds- it didn't seem to be a problem. I already had my first fitting, and I have lost 6 pounds since then. I hope she doesn't get mad at me at my next fitting!

I will be losing substantial weight for the wedding, probably about 40lbs+++, (getting back to my 'normal' size that i took an 8 month haitus from lol) when i ordered from kleinfelds this was one of my biggest concerns, it was an eve of milady so i needed the time for it to come in, and they really wouldnt 'let' me order a smaller size. they absolutely guaranteed me that its not going to be a problem. I will be going SEVERAL sizes down....this is my biggest cause for concern I am so worried about the dress being ruined.

i dont think 15lbs is going to hurt your dress. i think you can loose something like 3-5 inches before you have to order another dress.
