I'm the heaviest i've ever been in my life and to be honest I feel so disgusting that I want to cancel the wedding and leave my FI. BUT.... I just got cleared to start walking lightly on the treadmill. After I get my first period then I can go silly. It's just right now...depressing

aww! Don't even say that! You have a LOT of time before your wedding. Start slow. Can you do light weights with upper arms? Is it a medical issue that's the problem? I have a great personal training gym that is REALLY helping me out. I was at my heaviest and SO depressed just a month ago, and I'm already seeing results, I've gone down more than a size and feel so much better about myself. Change IS possible. I know it's frustrating, but a lot of us have been there, and we can be there for you to support you! Let me know if you ever need to talk. I was in tears just over a month ago, and I feel so much better now - especially knowing that I still have three months to accomplish even more with the help of this GREAT gym! They really work WITH you (free weights, aerobics, calisthenics, boxing... really DIFFERENT things) to shake up your workouts and get your body in gear! With the right tools, you can do ANYTHING. Don't give up on yourself or anything... you have time, and you can DO IT!!! Even if you just lightly walk every day until your wedding... it will make a difference!

I'm down 10.8 ... technically since January - but the bulk of that is since last month when I started working out along with WW.

Re: Weight Watchers

I have been going to Weight Watchers for 2 years. And it has been somewhat of a struggle. In the first 4 months, I lost 23 pounds. I am now at 30 pounds lost. Although I am not as strict as I should be so I guess I can't complain too much. But I am going to get more serious.

I am starting a new job in 2 weeks where I go in later. So every morning I am gonna get on the treadmill and I am going to measure and count my points. And I am going to do Pilates 3-4 times a week.

Stick with it, it really works. Don't stress that the weight isn't coming off as quickly as you'd like. They say the longer it takes to lose, the better chance you have of keeping it off.

Good Luck!!!

Re: Weight Watchers

The key is to not think of it as a diet... just a new way of eating... people do this every day and succeed... we can do it too!!!!!!!

**Helpful Hint.... When you feel hungry, drink water... most of the time when you feel hungry, it's because you're thirsty... we tend to get the feelings mixed up. I'm not one who can recognize when I'm thirsty (I know that sounds crazy) so I have a sign on my computer at work that says 'DRINK WATER!!' so I can remember to drink all day... sounds silly, but it totally works

We can do it girls!!!!!
