Weight Watchers

Weight Watchers

Just wanted to post because i've been reading stuff about girls trying to lose weight - and i recently started weight watchers...not even attending meetings, just went once to get the 'points' book and the sliding scale to figure out how many points foods are.

i just wanted to say that for those of you who don't want to give up 'regular' food, this is a GREAT way to go. i get to eat 23 points per day, and i still eat things like mcdonalds, ice cream, chips, etc.

i have already lost 5 lbs, and i continue to lose each week. it's only like 1-2 pounds per week, but over a few months it will add up!!

it's also funny because you start to realize how horrible some foods really are, and you start to cut out unnecessary things so that you can 'save' your points for delicious treats. it's really addictive, and i am the WORST at diets...DH laughed at me when i told him i was going to do it because i've said it 100 times, but this is honestly so easy to stick with and there are real results.

just wanted to share :)

Re: Weight Watchers

i'm glad you're doing so well on it. I've heard only good things about WW

I personally was on LA Weightloss 8 years back and lost around 90 pounds. It was the same deal - teaching you how to eat and such, so it was something I carried with me the rest of my life, because the secret isn't just LOSING the weight, it's KEEPING IT OFF. Because it is sooooo easy to gain it back!! LA Weightloss became all about money though later down the road (I worked there as a counselor for like 4 months and it was HORRIBLE how they'd try to make me manipulate people into spending more than they could afford). So they closed down just recently. Oh well, that's what they get. But it's ashame because the diet (or 'lifestyle') DEFINITELY worked! I assume WW is the same.

Keep up the good work
