Weird Feeling - Kinda Long

So, I know that everyone on this site is so totally psyched for their weddings - but I have a weird feeling --- I want to be super excited and I adore my FH, but I'm not having that feeling like I can't wait for it to get here.

We've been having $$$ issues as well as issues with my family - do you think that that could be the reason...

Is there any advice you can give...I want to be excited!!

Well those are definately reasons why you may be stressing it !!! Those cause stress not happiness!!

Im very excited of course...but I too re-think things...like why am I spending all of this money for a party when we can go and buy a house right this second. Alot came up with FH and I after we got engaged like job issues, liiving issues..and it has me kinda down..

Planning a wedding brings a lot of stress on...its normal to think this way.=) Hang in there...Im trying

I fyou are having family and money issues thats probably the reason you can not get excited. Wedding are very expensive and stressful. Yes it will be worth it, but you can't help how you are feeling. I wish I had magical words of advise and could take that feeling away. but I don't. You and your FH love each other and as time gets closer maybe that will change. I hope you feel better ! Maybe you could get some relaxation time more. Maybe take some you time and soak in a bubble bath. The less stressed, the more excited you will probably be.

Yeah, that can definitley be the reason !! It's hard not to stress over money & the family but my only advice is try not worry so much so you can enjoy this time of your life.

For me we had 2 yrs to plan our wedding (2 yrs exactly from engagement to wedding day) and I all I can say is I was excited for the first 6 months, then we closed on our house & all the stress of moving & renovating killed me. So for almost a year in the middle I was freaking out & dreading it mainly due to money. But as of the last few months I'm back to being psyched about the wedding!!! We don't have more money than before or anything, but we're settled into our house & the renovations aren't as severe anymore. So since things in other aspects of our world are better I can focus on the wedding.

It's perfectly normal to feel this way. Planning is stressful and outside worries about $ and family don't make it any easier. Focus on what matters - you and the man you love pledging your lives to each other. That's all that counts!

i think its normal to feel that way as well and we all have our up days and down days. Try cutting corners on things that are not necessary in your wedding to relieve the financial burden and stress associated with paying for and planning a wedding

I totally understand how you feel. I completely adore and love my FH, and I know that marriage is the next step for us, but we are so comfortable with how we are. I guess part of it for me is how will marriage change things. I'm just hopeful that I will get more excited as we get closer.
