So without going to much in to why we chose the place we did, we never met the officiant (an interfaith minister) who we be marrying us. Since there is no pre-cana requirement or anything like that, the first meeting to discuss the ceremony is only about 4 months before the wedding . Well I have now left 2 messages for the minister to the effect of, I know its early but I would just like to speak with you briefly and introduce myself since we havent met and maybe we could even set up our appointment. Well now 2 messages later and no call back!
Should I speak to the lady who has set up the whole ceremony for us and request another minister? I feel so funny and if the change doesnt happen I dont want our original guy knowing that we requested a change. But this is not professional plus I want to feel good about the person who will be marrying us, not mad at him!

If you can call the lady who set it up for you, I'd do that and try to find out if there's some reason he may not be calling you back. Before you get mad... you never know if something has happened in his life that may be the reason he's not calling you back. I know that's a terrible thought, but..... just something to consider. If he's just blowing you off, then... get mad, get a new one!

I would be upset too. Maybe maybe he/she is away?... But I would call the people who set it up.. You have to be comfortable and know that they are gonna call you back. And let's say they finally do call you back everytime you need to call them your going to be worrying if they are gonna do this again!
I actually need to book someone so if you wouldn't mind fm me who this is so I don't call them! Lol

Thanks guys. Actually I did speak with the lady on Friday (actually it was a new lady and I was annoyed because the original person who i dealt with had left and apparently her email wasnt forwarded which i found annoying). So this new person was very nice and I asked her to confirm everything which she did. I said I left a message and he didnt call me back so she then told me 'he is in today' so leave him a message now and im sure hell get back to you. That was Friday morning. The first message was left about 3 weeks ago. Ugh.
Oh dont worry, its not an officiant that you would hire seperately from a place of worship or anything like that so you wouldnt have the chance of calling this guy
