Weird Mom Question: What did you do when your mom hit menapause

OMG My mom is like the terminator on menapause. One minute she is happy go lucky, the next minute she is screaming and crying then happy go lucky again.

I swear I wish I was a doctor and put her on xanax or prozac or something.

Did any of girls go through this and how did you deal???

My mom hasn't gone through this yet. THANK GOD!! I love my mom to death, but she's a little psycho to begin with, so I can only imagine what's she's going to be like during menopause I'm staying far far away from her when the time comes

LMAO - - my mother just started, yea it's bad and she normally has a sweet disposition about her, I can image what hell I will be giving people when that time comes! I just try to ignore her when she gets 'crazy' or tell her that she's acting up, 'did she drink her tea today'. Other than that, just run.

I am far far away from my Mom but I can feel her wrath (sp). I have noticed that my Moms personality has changed in the past 2 years or so.

Thank god I live with FI, but I am running far and not telling her where I am going.

She is psycho mom today...I spoke to her 4 times this morning and she had 1 psycho trip and the other times she was so happy and isnt a beautiful day today mood.

Can I hit her over the head with a mallet??? forget kicking in the shins, that wouldnt do it, hitting over the head with a mallet may do her some good

Here's one example of why I ducked:

My mom went to Costco and purchased 6 Lean Cusine Meals. I notice them in the freezer and ask her if I can take one for lunch to work. She says no, she bought 6 so that she could take them to work everyday. 3 days pass and she never takes one with her. I ask again, Ma, can I take one for lunch since you keep forgetting? She says 'No, I want to take them for lunch'. 3 more days pass, the weekend passes, it's Monday, they are all still there. That night, I come home late from work, she says 'I didn't make dinner, why don't you have one of the meals'. I say 'but you said I'm not allowed to eat them because you are taking them for lunch'. She says 'well, since you wouldn't be taking them for lunch, it's ok'.

I told FH if I ever get this crazy to just kill me, it will be easier on him.

Mel: I know how you feel. My mom is the same way. One minite is my best friend and the next she is yelling at my for stupid reasons. I just make her yell and scream. I know that eventually it will be over.

My mom is the exact same way, Chippa. She is so sweet one minute, and a raving loony the next. She makes me CRAZY!

My mom was a little crazy during her menpause time. She has since been over it. But I do remember one time, her and I were in a store and all of a sudden she got a hot flash. Her neck and face got all red. She ripped off her coat and was fanning herself. All I could do was stand there with this face on... It was all over in about 2 mins but boy....I dont think I want to go through crap like that!! LOL

OMG...change your number and move. Come back in 2 years. Yes, I said TWO years...when her hormones settle she'll understand. Better yet, tell her you were there the whole time, she just had an extended dizzy spell and doesn't remember.

Maybe make it 3...scary scary stuff, I tell ya!

Luckily my mom never went thru it - she had a complete hysterectomy by the time she was 33!!

TWO PAINFUL YEARS!

My mother FINALLY had the doctor give her a pill to stop it because it was unbearable! And I think it bothered her too!

My mom was going through menopause when I was a senior in high school and she was a nightmare! I lived with Sybil! Fortunately, I left for college the next year, and she seemed to be somewhat okay when I came home for the summer. Looking back, I'm not really sure I can blame all her behavior on menopause, or just her reaction to all of my wild antics!

HMMM 2 Years - Someone ought to tell my mother that I think she is on 4 or 5 now - She is a sweet angel one moment then total psycho women the next. We have learned to RUN FAR FAR FAR AWAY when this happens - the sad part is she doesn't believe us when we tell her - she tells us that we are the crazy ones....hmmm can like 10 people all be wrong?
