Weird Mom Question: What did you do when your mom hit menapause

OMG My mom is like the terminator on menapause. One minute she is happy go lucky, the next minute she is screaming and crying then happy go lucky again.

I swear I wish I was a doctor and put her on xanax or prozac or something.

Did any of girls go through this and how did you deal???

Christine: call her OB/GYN tell him/her to prescribe the magic pill that makes it all go away and all the personalities blend together and become one again!You will be grateful!

Hmmm wish I could - she works for Dr's insurance co - and has cases related with some of these drugs - so she would never take them - besides - that BIG problem - is that she is TOTALLY convinced that she is the normal one and it is my father, me, my grandmother....should I continue... that is the crazy one - and she is perfectly normal...lol

My mom is a BIT$H to begin with and wacky at that but when she hit menopause, me and my sis wanted to strangle her!! We gave up on her and stopped talking to her. She would talk to herself, cry by herself, then yell at my poor dad then cry to him. WEIRD!!!
Sometimes she would talk to me and my sister and two minutes later would have a fit because a fork was left in the sink! I mean nutty stuff.

The worst thing is that my dad told us that many people his age are divorcing because the man cannot handle his wife going through menopause. Then he started laughing and said, I don’t know how I survived!!
Its over though thank goodness.

I feel so much better that I am not the only one who wants to strangle mom.

I just try and avoid her as much as possible. I told FI IF I ever get like that please shoot me, put me out of my misery. he laughed and said no problem.

My mother didn't get really psycho but she has always been an emotional person. I did have to affectionately nickname her 'Senora HotFlash'!!!! She went from cold all the time to Flashy McFlashs-A-Lot!
