Maybe you started grincing your teeth in your sleep. That would make your jaw hurt. Warm compresses.

My dad is having this same exact problem right now. He can hardly open his mouth to eat. he went to the dr and they think its a dental problem but they gave him antibiotics and a pain killer. If it doesnt help he has to go see a dentist.

When I'm stressed I clench my teeth in my sleep and my jaw is KILLING me when I wake up... that may be it.

Teeth grinding sounds like the cluprit. I get this quite often. Sometimes it is tingly. you are stressing.
