Weird quesiton about who to invite, very stressed - a bit long (sorry)
Ok heres the deal and I know I have asked this before but I'm really worried about this its a weird situation...
Part 1:
I am a manager at a clothing store where i have worked for 8 YEARS. I thought about inviting just the managers but I realized there are some employees of mine who I have known almost the entire 8 years and we are all very close so I cant imagine some of them not being at my wedding so I figured I'd just invite who i wanted to since its my wedding no big deal - people will understand
Part 2: Some of these people I have known 8 years but have never met their husbands. And recently 2 of my co-managers said they weren't planning to bring their husbands and said 'oh if you want so-and-so to come I'll take them as my guest'
Heres my dilemma - I don't want some coming with husbands and some not - not sure why but this is bothering me. And I don't know some of their husbands anyway so should I just invite the people I want to come without their husbands? (I would discuss it with them first to see if they were planning to anyway) I think its weird and rude to invite someone without their husband. On the other hand it will keep my count down. HELP!! TIA!

Personally, I think it's rude to invite them without a guest, or husband in this matter. FH is invitiing people from his job and they are all going to be invited with a guest.

So do you think I should invite everyone with their husbands except the ones who said theyre not bringing their husbands? And invite them with a guest (they will bring another person from work)

I'm sorry, but I can't imagine inviting someone without their husband or significant other. I think that's just weird. Instead what I'd do is invite them with their husbands, and if they choose to bring someone else in their place, let it be that way.
For instance, I am inviting two of my aunts and uncles from out of state. However, apparently my aunts don't plan on bringing my uncles, and would rather each of their daughters (my cousins). I know it sounds weird, but I haven't seen any of them in like 15 years, which is why the cousins aren't invited. I was weirded out by it at first, but this is what my mother told me they want to do and it's her family, so whatever. But the invites will still be to my aunts and uncles.

Ok this makes sense, I guess I'll just go with my original plan - which was to invite whoever I was inviting with their husbands and if they don't want to bring them then fine. It just threw me totally off guard when they said they didn't wan to bring th husbands...
