I was visiting my mom and a few of her friends were around and for the most part I haven't seen them since engaged so they were very excited to see me and were asking all sorts of questions about the wedding and what I've got planned, or am planning. But I don't want to get into full detail with them b/c 1) not all of them are going to be invited so I was trying to get off the topic and 2) I don't wanna give out all the details, I want people to be a lil surprised! LOL
and the reactions I was getting was just down right rude/weird. They were making it sound as if I was in the wrong. Then later my mom tells me after I left they were all asking questions like 'are they having problems? She didn't mention much' 'do you think the wedding is on the bumps?'
Wow! Sorry, but they sound like an extremely rude bunch of women. What did your mom say after the woman made that comment?

Try not to take it personally! I hate discussing my wedding also unless I bring it up with my BMs when I want an opinion. Of course you want your guests to be surprised!!

oo yea my mom might have her crazy moments but shes got my back llol
she actually said to one of them 'are you on crack' cause she knows that one of the lady is a nut job and rude as all heck, she was the lady that actually asked my FH 'how much did the ring cost you?' - hes also one of them that ISN'T invited to the wedding lol

I know from my own personal opinion I always wanna be surprised as a guest too, even when our friend was getting married she would ask me opinions a lot but when it came to certain things I would tell her not to tell me. Isn't that the fun part of being at a wedding, like seeing the bride in her dress and what the room will look like.

People are weird! My HR Manager at work saw my ring and said 'wow, I didnt realize your boyfriend was wealthy!' which was so odd and rude! lol
I will admit, the ring is gorgeous, but it's not SO huge that it would cause that reaction IMO.
PS I am only inviting two people from my office, and she is NOT one of them. lol

yea i've noticed ALOT of very weird reactions from people since being engaged.
weirdest yet has been a girl i was introduced to and she actually gave off this vibe like she was angry at me lol

i've had weird reactions. Don't bother even thinking of it. Not only did my FMIL ask weird questions, but just about everyone did. It's crazy how much people can truely drive you nuts!

awww well if its someon else talking trash she will have my back, as for herself talking trash - we've had plenty of 'tiffs' about things i have up my sleeve or planning. shes not a big fan of some of the things we have planned. but ONLY shes can talk trash not one of her weirdo friends lol
