so, have you guys gotten any strange engagement gifts?
FH has one friend who takes THE CAKE. At our actual party, we didn't expect anything because he's in a band and pays for all the equipment, recording studio time, etc for the other band members. Well, he gave us a sweet card with two weird rubber finger puppets inside. they're supposed to be for when we fight...?
BUT today he made FH go to his house. I had a ton of cleaning and lesson planning to finish so I stayed. He'd been telling FH for a few weeks now about this present that was coming and how perfect it was, blah blah...
FH sent me a pic. It's a plush face hugger toy. Like, the creepy monster in Aliens movies? Yep. That's ours now.

No idea! When he got home, FH was probably even less amused than I was. It was so random, and apparently there was not even a real explanation given...I'm afraid of what will come at the wedding!

I'm not sure. FH put it on top of one of our bookcases in the den, and I told him in the new house it's living in his mancave but he doesn't seem happy about that My friends gave us all the place settings we registered for....his gave him a stuffed alien. I think i win
