Weirdo friend...a little long but I promise, a good read.
So, that friend of mine that gets a little too weird every time we go to see PJ perform (I posted about this last month) called my coworker (she's going to the wedding) and asked her what's a good wedding gift for us.
She said 'straight-up cash!' (cool)
He said 'I want to get them a Macy's gift card'
She said 'That's nice too, but cash is better, especially since they're not registerd at Macy's' (cool)
He said 'Maybe I'll get them a PANNINI PRESS from Home Goods'
She said 'I don't think they need that; you should check their registry, they're at BBB and Target' (cool)
He said 'But I want to use my Home Goods coupon'
Okay, I get that he wants to use a coupon. And is one of those people that don't want to give cash. But um...we don't need a fkn pannini press; we're veggies, how many goddamned varieties of pannini can we eat?!?! Why can't he just look at our fkn registry and get us something we need, even if it's from a different store?!
And THEN!!!!
IT GETS WORSE!!!!
He told her that he wants to wear a khaki suit to the wedding.
NEEL AND THE GM'S ARE WEARING KHAKI SUITS!!!!
I don't know how he found this out; she actually bit her tongue so she didn't CONFIRM with him that the BP is wearing that (no need to fan the flames).
How fkn random is that! It's not just a coincidence; I am sure of that. He has three suits at his house and NONE of them are khaki (we're close enough so I know these things).
What a fkn penis-breath loser.

Obviously you need to ditch this guy....this only confirms it to me. He is poison in your life.
As for the khaki suit thing...I can only sympathize with how you're feeling, I have no suggestions...FSIL knows the BP is wearing purple so I have a feeling she will show up in purple...which would make me very unhappy indeed...I don't want anyone thinking she is in my bridal party.

If it was ME... I'd just write him a note saying 'Dude no biggie but I heard you were thinking abotu wearing yadayadayada and I mean, you can wear what you want, but ... it's sort of like how girls arent supposed to wear white. The guys are wearing khaki suits so ....'
And if he buys you a panini press you can return it. Or give it to me. I love paninis.

Every summer wedding I've been to, plenty of men wear Khaki suits.
I don't think you can expect that your BP will be the only ones wearing that.
