I am looking at a January 2015 wedding as well. I have picked out a few venues but I am not sure when we are suppose to start looking. But it is so exciting!

Corrine- I already started looking and would you believe it; some places are already booked on certain days! ( Jan 9th and 10th, Fri/Sat, seems to be gone at alot of places that i've looked at so far!)

MrsSpatacino I honestly can say I'm not shocked but my fiancé was! I told him we better get looking because we are on a tight budget seeing as I am a nursing student and he is a marine and a student. Not the best combination to pay for a wedding lol. Where have you started looking? I really have my heart set on giorgio's or fox hollow but who knows till I see them. I also like chateau la mer.

i'm a nursing student too! where do you go to school?, i'm done in December 2014 that's why i'm having the 2015 wedding

Holly87 awesome congrats! I already have a bachelors so I was attending Liu in Brooklyn in their the accelerated program. Unfortunately after last semester I had to withdraw because I could afford the 16,000 a semester so I recently applied to stony brook and Suffolk as a backup. So I am just waiting to see where I get accepted and ill start again in September. Where are you attending?

Corrine- The Fox was beautiful and very reasonable! It's one of my top contenders I think you'll like it as well!

I've looked at (all for January 2015):
The Carltun
Carlyle on the Green
Fox Hollow
The Historical Thatched Cottage
North Ritz Club
Jericho Terrace
and Floral Terrace

I also have appointments with The Woodlands, Pine Hollow and Garden City Hotel. Also I went to a wedding at Chateau La Mer and it was very nice!

If you wouldn't mind could you fm me the price quotes for carlyle on the green, fox hollow, and thatched cottage and also what you liked and did not? I do not want to waste my time looking at places that are out of my budget. Fox Hollow wouldn't give me a quote over the phone.

Hello! Just dropping in from the 2014 boards. It's never too early to start looking at venues to get an idea of what each place offers and see what you like/don't like. Also, you can lock in the 2013 prices, which is great because prices tend to increase from year to year.
