Well, I missed all of you! While you were wandering around in the dark I was lost without LIweddings!! In all seriousness, I hope everyone is okay. Of course when my mom called and left message on my voicemail, I immediately thought it was another terrorist attack. Thankfully it was not and I hopefully everything gets back to normal soon!

we just got it back about an hour ago. I will NEVER take light or air for granted again! LOL that was scary-it seemed all too familiar when @ first no one knew what was going on and no cell phones were working. i hope everyone is doing ok and is safe. FSIL left work in Manhattan @ 5:30 & walked home across the brooklyn bridge-it took her 3 hours to get home!

Yeah this was no fun and a little scary! Our power came back on at 7am this morning, which means I had to come to work But my FH is home! No LIRR today, so he's home free. He got a ride home from the city last night by some stranger... apparently cops were stopping cars that only had one person driving and made them take people through the tunnel. So he made it home without having to walk too far!
Glad everyone is OK... have fun emptying out your fridges and freezers!

My husband is still stuck in the city. Even though we got electric back at midnight - I couldn't sleep while my husband was sitting on the steps of Penn. Station. He called again at 6 am and they are shipping buses out to LI. What a horrible feeling. Luckily my parents live very close. I went there because my husband didn't want me to be alone. I am only marrried 3 1/2 weeks. I hope all in well by all of you.

Deenice - I know how you feel How could I sleep knowing my DH was out in the city somewhere all night?! He was able to crash at an apt but he's still trying to get home.

I tried getting on LI weddings last night using my laptop (I had the batteries charged) and my dial-up connection with AOL. LIweddings was down so i ended up reading news on cnn.
