My mom got the reply card that my cousin and her husband aren't coming to the wedding. She is seriously causing a rift in this family My mom said she'll host Thanksgiving dinner this year because she totally understands that I do not want to step foot in my cousin's house (who usually hosts).

I know how you feel! My aunt and uncle (my mother's brother and sister in law) threatened not to come to my wedding because we didn't invite my aunts mother! I mean...W T F !!! They decided a week before the wedding they WERE coming. My thought was, it was their loss and they would be the ones that were sorry they missed their nieces wedding, and it wasn't punishment to me, it was to them.
It's sad that people only think about themselves when for once in your life, it's about YOU!!!! As it should be!!! It was MY wedding and if I wanted to be selfish about certain things it was my right to do so!
