told me that i should replace her! we haven't been super close and there was a part of me that wished i didn't ask her i don't even think she is coming to the wedding at all............. sad situation

Well she has not asked to be replaced but I had asked a friend of mine that i have been friends with since 6th grade on and off and now we really dont speak as much as we used to.

not the same situation, but my cousin whose wedding I was in 2 years ago called me 2 weeks ago and told me she just found out she was pregnant and already has a 4 month old so she was resigning from my wedding.
Listen things happen that are out of our control and noones lives revolve around our wedding so we have to understand. Just remember that in 20 years when you are looking at your pics you want every girl that stood beside you that day to still be in your life and if you question wether they will or not than they shouldn't be in it

yes they happen to me with 2 of my BM ... long story ... not getting into it ... i will say i was pissed and hurt at the time... but whatever things happen ... i am now no longer stressed about my BP and i am totally happy with them

Yeah I feel the same way. They are not helpful my FH and mother have helped me with everything and the one time I had one of them for a full weekend she just depressed me. didn't like my invites and just not interested in anything, playing down alot of the things I had done...and they are all cousins and life long friends.

awww i am sorry. i swear people dont' know how much of a big deal it is to get married and so i thik we get depressed that they share in our excitment

That s**ks! The only reason I finally decided to have BMs is because they make for nice pics. But I swore that I was just going to stick with some kids...they are less of a hassle.

Yes sort of. I had 2 Bm's drop out (at different times) and I eventually replaced them both with great friends. I no longer speak to either one. Both dropped out for different reasons but I am so glad they did. Less headaches and I was able to include REAL FRIENDS!

Yeah me too. This way when drag them around the bridal shop by the hair, they have to forgive me.
To the original poster who lost the bridemaid:
Do you have a younger girl maybe in your family or FH family who you could replace her with? Younger girls tend to be excited and easier to please and won't start the whole 'why didn't you ask me to begin with' garbage. Just a thought.
