Well, that was not fun at all

FH and I went to register yesterday. Everyone always says how much fun it is, but we didn't think so

We found it to be very overwhelming and frustrating and it gave me a headache But at the least the majority of it is over and now we just have to do some fine tuning to it!

Just glad the hard part is over Hope everyone else has a better experience!

I am sorry you didn't have fun!!

I am not registering for wedding gifts... but when I registered for baby gifts I had NO fun at all. Rob and I were snapping at each other over every little object. He didn't like the color, I didn't like the style, etc...

We wound up only registering for like 1 page worth of things. My sisters went back with me and made me sit while they went crazy registering me for EVERYTHING a new human being could possibly need or want!

I decided that if I am forced by my family to register for the wedding, I am leaving FH home this time!

At least you have a ton of gorgeous gifts to be bought!!!

I thought the same thing!!! We were arguing and had no clue what to pick!!! But the majority is over and now I go on line and add to it.

It is overwhelming. I went with my mom instead of FH though so that made things a little easier! I also went a couple of different times and did things on the internet to make it a bit better!

we thought the same thing the first time...but the second time, you will have a better idea of what you really need. We've gone back 5 times or so to update things, and it does get better when you have a color scheme in mind, and know if you want shiny metal, brushed nickel, white or black appliances...it'll get better...

It IS VERY overwhelming! But we have the internet to make that all a little easier on us! Thank god!

awwww I didn't register yet but I'm so excited and can't wait. I hear its fun too but it could be overwhelming.

i was just browsing and bought some stuff on my own and thinking about registering seemed overwhelming to me. lol... im sure it will all be worth it though.

We started on Sat and it was very overwhelming but we really had a good time. I started with the gun then FH stole it from me. We need to go back and add alot more stuff and I also need to tweak a lot of stuff which I can do online.

i know that if i go with FH it would put an end to all wedding plans

he is like shopping with a five year old he gets all excited for about 5 minutes then he is ready to go home

sooooo i already went and scoped everything out that i like and i am doing it all online - why get aggravated when i KNOW he is not going to give me any input on what china pattern we are going to have!!!

I am so sorry you felt that way. FH and I had a blast but we already live together (shh don't tell my mom) so we know our style. It was easy, we picked everything in Stainless steal and then just gadgets (we have alot of stuff as I have had my own apt for 4 years).

aww.. we registered at 4 places (fortunoff, pottery barn, williams sonoma, and bed bath) and FH hated alllll except for Bed Bath! He had complete control of the scanner and had lots of fun!

I totally agree...registering was a painful experience for us...pretty much b/c FH whined the whole time that he was hungry, tired, etc. We didn't even register for anything other than china...god help us when we have to do the rest!
