It was a little frustrating and overwhelming the first time we went but then i decided to just do research on things on line and then go back wiht my 'options' planned on in my head to decide in person and that worked so much better.
I think the best advice would be, go to the store, sign up and then call it a day. Walk around the store maybe for ideas and write things down but dont start registering the same day. Make good lists and narrow down choices. For example, i Looked at BBB website to see what toasters they carried, narrowed them down to 3 and then decided in person. It made things go much more smooth and FH did well with only having to choose from 3 things as opposed to like 10.
