Well the cat is out of the bag...I am upset

So we got out tonight to celebrate the big engagment of my brother and new FSIL...and my brother opens he big freakin mouth and tells me that my shower is Sunday ....He's like so I will be giving you a police escort on Sunday. (he is a cop)...I am like for what? And I keep saying for what???

So then he finally realizes what he has done and I see the look on my FI's face and he tries to cover it up saying 'oh um for your wedding' So then I finally realize what he is getting at.....

I am so upset...it really annoys me...so I tell him don't tell mom and he is like ok....but he tells my new FSIL who goes and tells my mother and her mother

Oh I'm so sorry Kathleen! It's a bummer to find out (trust me, my FMIL has a big mouth and I am bummed) but your day will still be filled with lots of love from friends and family. And I am sure they have more surprises for you up their sleeves for your day!

He didn't know it was a suprise and neither did my other brother....um someone should have told them

My younger brother did make me laugh though...he was like 'well as long as you know about it...you can come help us set up though' that was freakin funny!

Truthfully - I figured out mine. It is almost impossible to be surprised especially when u live home.

No worries - it will be a wonderful day and you can now plan a great outfit!

Thats what I kept saying and them my FSIL tells my mother and my mother is asking me if I am ok....NOOOO I am not ok!

Girls I know this is not the end of the world and there are things that are 10X, 100X, 1000X WORSE! ...but thank you for being there for me...it means the world to me!

Oh Kathleen I'm so sorry....I know how bad you wanted to be surprised. Guys can be sometimes - they just don't get it.

Like others have said, I'd say you don't want to know another thing & make the best of it. At least now you can be prepared & wear your prepared outfit.

I guess he was just so excited w/ the engagement & all. I'm sorry

oh that stinks! I knew when mine was, i wanted to know. I know you're upset, but there will still be things that surprise you that day like nicely the rom is set up, the games your bridal party planned, decorations, favors, and all that fun stuff. And look at it this way...now instead of trying to figure out when the shower is, you can try to figure out who got you all the gifts off of your registry instead!
