My FH is having his BP in Montreal, too. That's where all his friends live and I'm a little jealous that I don't get to go out on the town in MTL, too.

AND men can touch boobies there

How absolutely discusting!!!!!!!!

I think it is funny. If my FH wants to see boobies before he gets married, more power to him. I trust him 100%

My FI just got on a plane to go to his brother's bachelor party in Montreal the weekend. They decided to have it there because the best man is only 19 and he can drink in Canada.

I'm not a big fan of strip clubs, but what everyone says is true. Trust has to be the most important thing.

*sigh* I just don't get the whole nekkid thing.

I dont think its really a debate per se. Someone asked why guys would go to Montreal. I flat out asked FH and he answered. I wrote based on what he said. His friends dont like hockey, they don't ski and they are red blooded American men who like to look at naked women and occasionally get a lap dance. What man wouldn't. Of course I trust that he wouldnt do anything that would jeopardize my faith in him. I am also secure enough in myself to say 'Go and have fun.' It is also safe to say that this is a rather stereotypical bachelor party and nowadays you see more golf outings, paintball and parties devoid of debauchery.

You should have fun too. Everyones version of fun is different. I wouldnt worry one bit.

Very well said...

I don't see the point in the traditional bachelor/ette parties. We had our whole lives to do whatever we want, now we have to wait until the last possible minute for one more HOO-RA. This tradition has never made any sense to me. As much as you trust him, you still feel down, just because of all the hype. I don't think that's fair. Everyone on this post is trying to make you feel better. It just ***** that it has to come down to that. You know him the best, and if you trust him then nothing bad will happen. But you shouldn't have to feel sad.

I wouldn't care if I was annoying or not. If my FH wanted to go to Canada, i probably would have given him sh1t. But that's just me, because I don't see the point.

You are being very strong. I hope you have a great time this weekend!!!! Soon you can put this weekend behind you.

IMHO i find strip clubs gross..its not a matter of trust just the thought of some girls boobies near him would make me sick..luckily my husband is very traditional and doesnt like those places. They just went to some bars in the city for his BP and we met up at the end of the night..but I have other girlfriends who dont mind if their hubbys go to strip clubs..whatever floats your boat!

The best advice I've heard so far is to have your bachlorette party the same night that he has his party so that your not at home thinking about what they are doing. This is my plan.

It's funny how most men are not at all threatened by male strippers because they know that it's not physical for us rather than emotional. Honestly, how many of us get turned on by male strippers?

Add 'intellectual' to your list of reasons. It isnt a grinding butt on my lap that turns me on. I never have and I never will be turned on by a male stripper. For my BP to hire a stipper or take me to some sort of male revue would be a waste of time and money. I am bound to offend SOMEONE if I say why. You ladies are too smart and shouldnt need me to spell it out for you.

By the way, I have been to strip clubs and to me, nothing is more pathetic looking than a man who actually thinks he can 'get with' one of the strippers because she talks to him and seems interested. Go to the bathroom at SCORES and hear what they REALLY have to say about these men. It is hilarious.

I dont understand why this thread turned into a debate over strip clubs. She came on to say that it was her FH's BP this weekend and they were going to Canada and a debate ensues over strip clubs??? Come on ladies.... have a lil more respect than that!

Jaclyn, I hope you have the BEST WEEKEND with your girls this weekend and that your FH enjoys his weekend as well!

Hear Hear.... I agree Mrs B! Have a GREAT time with all your girls! And of course... post pics when you sober up in the morning!

I realize that this thread has been hijacked and turned into something that was cause for minor controversy and for that I apologize. HOWEVER, very simply, someone asked 'why Canada?' Knowing that FH had gone to AND planned a few bachelor parties in Montreal himself , I asked him why guys go there and he said so. I am really sorry that people were not comfortable with the answer (or the fact that I posted it) but thats what it was. It was not intended to be a debate. It was not intended to imply that all men who go to Montreal or strip clubs will cheat or partake in innappropriate behaviors with other women. It was intended to be an answer plain and simple. Again, I apologize for the digression.
