well we did it...

fh and i have been talking bout moving out of state.. but i really REALLY liked my job (he can't stand his) so we were going to wait a few years since i enjoy my job so much.. i was up for a new position as dean of students and although i was admittedly the more experience and qualified for the position, they gave it to someone else because she had connect with the school board...

guess what.. i no longer like my job.. as a matter of fact i hate it. i hate it A LOT! so... we're gonna go ahead and move.. and since we can't move till after we're married (since i am opposed to living together)........

WE'VE DECIDED TO MOVE THE WEDDING UP!!! I AM SOO EXCITED!

Whew do we have a lot to do in a little over 6 months!! I am now an 08 bride!!


quick quesiton.. my mom had been planning an engagement party for us in sept.. if we're now getting married in jan of 08, is it still neccesary? or should she skip it and concentrate on the wedding shower?

Depending on the size and type of engagement party...I think if it's a casual get together of family and friends go for it...if it's more elaborate and fancy you may want to stick with just a shower. Only because there is going to be a lot of events your guests will have to cram in in a few months and that gets expensive (for the guests) JMO

As for the e-party, I would ask mom to put her $$ and efforts toward your shower and the wedding itself. Personally, I'm not a fan of an e-party that's only a few months before the actual wedding; it's just too much for people.

If you were just going to have a small e-party, I would move it up to sometime soon. If it was going to be a big e-party, I would skip it. Otherwise, it will be back to back with your shower.
