Well wishes please.

I have been on meds for what dr.s were calling seizures the past year. As of March 11th of this year I am one year seizure free.
I had 2 episodes last year and that was the only time in 28 years. They occured after taking aleve. All tests came back negative (trust me there were tons of tests).
Dr.s are leaning toward the fact that I had an allergic reaction to advil and aleve both containing naproxen and/or ibuprofin.
Tonight is my first night off the meds.
Im excited, nervous and scared. As a precaution I cant drive for a few months, just to make sure everything i ok. I am asking you all for prayers and wishes for a GREAT and healthy year for me so I can move on (ex. start a family) and also not to go through these 'siezures' again.
Trust me I only take Tylenol now and wont mess around with anything.

I wish you all the best. Allergic episodes to those medications can be awful...I was suffering from hives and facial swelling for most of last year, most likely as a result of taking advil. Nothing like what you went through, but it so SO scary when you don't know what is happening to your body.

OMG...sorry to hear that Jax. I think it was more of a 'shock'. I really wish the dr.s didnt label it a seizure. Who knows. Best wishes to you too..Stay away from advil!

On April 26th I will be seizure free for 4 years! I still have to take med but that is ok. I tried going off after my being seizure free for 3 years after my surgery but started having them again so I'll stick with the meds!
