I hope you won't forget about those of us that are not parents, and will eventually be moving beyond the 'newlyweds' stage

How about a Long Island Living board? Resources, housing, vacationing, and just general chat beyond the newlyweds and parenting issues...

Karen,

We are in the development stage of that exact site. It is taking a bit longer to complete than we originally thought - besides that fact that the site is costing over $100,000 to produce!

April2603 yes it does include stepfamilies. Also includes adoption.

LisaW - welcome!

Please keep in mind that this will be a totally NEW site.

BTW - we have been receiving mail from brides asking us to put together a list of parenting abbreviations. Some don't know what TTC etc stands for. Can you all assist me in putting the list together? Thanks in advance.

Just a thought, based on all the GREAT and positive feedback this site has received (I've seen several LI websites, FLOP and have NOTHING going on on their message boards), so this one is really the winner.

Anyway, based on all the great ideas, for different sites would it be possible to have the main website called LILife or LIFamilies as the ladies here suggested and the SUB-sites would be
Weddings, Parenting, families, Home Improvement (that would be HUGGEEEEEE !!!),
Fishing, Golf (Or just call it HOBBIES and make categories within that) Teens, etc etc.. we can go on and on and on.....
(you can have us re-directed to what would be the main site if we type in liweddings.com, until we get adjusted to the new name)

You will get men on your boards if you change the weddings name (but still keep the wedding boards as PART of the site). If you had all of our hubbies and brothers on your sites, that would twice and tripe the hits for you !.....

You have such a GREAT thing going, with SO MUCH potential to get even BETTER !!!

Hope I didnt ramble too much !
