Went BM dress shopping today... WITH POLL - Help please!

Do you like this dress? I went BM dress shoppin with My MOH and FSIL (1 of my BMs). We fell in love with the dress!

When I came home and showed FH... he said he doesn't like it. That its not formal

Don't worry about FH. Mine wasn't too keen on some of the ones I picked out and on the color but he came around. It is nice for a June wedding. Will it be that color?

I LIKE IT! But I agree my FH would say the SAME thing about it, guarenteed. I say keep looking and if you really love it, talk to FH about it.

No, it's not too casual - what are the men wearing?

It took me 2 months to talk FH out of a tux for the guys and ball gowns for the girls. He just has this thing in his head that weddings are supposed to be VERY formal. I have the men in light suits and the women in tea length dresses and we are both loving the more relaxed vibe now.

Don't worry, He'll get used to it.

The men will be wearing tuxes... I kinda agree that the dress isn't exactly 'formal' but I also don't want the super formal feel. I want it to be an elegant dress but at the same time be kind of different than the majority if the dresses... I love the plaid for that reason - its a little unusual.

I agree also... ONLY bc i dont like the wide belts AND b/c what if the stripes on the belt dont fall even with the stripes on the dress (it wont match up evenly if your girls are different sizes, ya know?)

BUT i think that if you love it, you should go for it--- seriously- what do guys know about dresses anyway?!

i have been to weddings and always thought that the bridesmaids looked beautiful... NOW, if they were by themselves, or i had to choose the dress they were in, i probably wouldnt have... but planning a wedding consists of thinking outside of the box. you should go for whatever makes you happy---- its a wedding, therefore, it is going to be beautiful no matter what!!!!!!!!!
