Went for my trial at Maximus yesterday!

Hi everyone! Well, I drove down for the weekend to get my hair and make-up trial done at Maximus Spa Salon in Merrick yesterday! William did my hair and Claudine did my make-up....both turned out wonderful! My hair was swept to the side in the front and had 'curls' (he took sections and pinned curls w/out using a curling iron) on top, and my tiara looked so beautiful around the curls. He used hair nets on each section of my hair to keep it perfect...has anyone ever heard of that?! I was appalled until I saw that he didn't even use ANY hairspray and the curls stayed up perfectly ALL DAY LONG. The hair nets matched my hair perfectly so you can not even see them. He said that I could sleep on my hair (which I did) for weeks and it would not move. Awesome. Claudine did a nice job with my make-up....it was very natural looking. I had so much fun when I was there, even though it was a bit intimidating. I can't wait until I get my hair/make-up done for real....6 weeks to go!!! :)

Here's some more info

They most likely travel, but you'd have to call there and ask. They are open on Sundays, which is good...but they open at 10am, so if you need to be ready early, you have to pay all these fees in order to allow them to open the salon early. The only bad thing is that they charged the SAME for the trial and the wedding day. It was $75 for makeup and $70 for hair. Which I thought was fairly reasonable anyway.
