tom was awesome! so helpful and boy - they have SUCH a selection to choose from! his books are gorgeous, and his choices for cakes and filling are endless.
i just hate the fact that i have to go and BUY a cake when one is included in my hall!!!

As for Audreys, I have nothing but great things to say about them and Tom. I'm sure you wont be disappointed!
ETA: Just saw your other post about the other bakery. Sorry, that does stink!! Can't you call Giorgios and complain to them about it?

i don't want to sound like a *itch and complain about the bakery. i called them today and asked about the cake credit and they didn't ask why. i didn't want to be annoying but should i be? i am so pissed!
i plan on buying cake because one, rolling pin never calls me back; two, i don't like that they only offer chocolate and vanilla cake; and three, their designs aren't my taste. i love sugar flowers, and nice fondant work and they don't offer that.

Maybe you can just call them and make them aware, withough making a big stink. I'm sure they'd want to know if their brides are not getting the service they deserve. There are plenty of bakeries out there for them to switch to.

i agree with you; i mean, i an understand having an amazing product and not being good at returning phone calls but their cake really isn't for me; ya know? i mean, i am not the type to get on the boards and bad mouth anyone! i have never done it before but i can't take this anymore!

Credit or not...I have to repeat what everyone else has said about Audrey's. The cakes are delicious and beautiful, and Tom is a pleasure to work with - a real professional.
I just got some digital pics and can't resist showing mine! (Sorry the pic is coming out huge).
We went with ivory fondant and white fondant trim. Tom also made gorgeous sugar cala lillies for the top and on each layer. Like you, I prefer the sugar flowers to decorating with real ones. The cake was carrot, with cream cheese filling, and we asked that Tom omit the raisins and add nuts. It was absolutely delicious, and believe me...I can be a picky biotch when it comes to food!
I hope you go ahead and work with them - I can't imagine you regretting it.

OMG - thats exactly what we PICKED TODAY! an ivory fondant with white scroll wok with pink flowers on top with a 4 clusters of roses on the bases! inside- red velvet with white chocolate mousse!!!!

That's so cool! When I looked through their pics, the ivory with white just really stood out. And even though I had heard great things and was hoping it would be nice, I was blown away by the finished product when I saw it on my wedding day. I'm psyched for you, and I'm sure you're gonna love it!

I am doing ivory fondant with white trim also . But my cake looks totally different than that. Every layer is a different shape and our monogram will be on one of the layers. I am also using my own cake topper. Thomas has been a pleasure to work with.

OMG - LOVE AUDREYS!!!!!!! I am so glad that they were the house bakeshop for my hall - the cake was amazing and Tom is a sweetie.
Yes, they do grooms cakes - had one for DH and it came out absolutely hilarious. DH is a landscaper and he loves rainbow cookies so we made him a rainbow cookie cake and took a pic of his lawnmower and scanned it onto the cake.......on the top Thomas wrote, get this.......'Neil - you mow me over'
