Was anyone here at the BBB in Huntington??? We were the crazy couple yelling at one another .... yes, loads of fun...
But now I have a few questions.... So how the hell do you pick out your bedding set or towels... when you have no idea what place you're gonna have at the time of the wedding??? The color scheme could end up being totally off...
Also, what did evevryone do for plates? FH thinks its crazy that I want to put 1 set of plates (not doing everyday and china) on there that cost about $100 for each place setting.... What is the norm $ amt that you girls put on yours for plates?
We walked around the store about 5 times... and really didnt put that much on...
And if you dont mind, can I see your registry? LOL

I have the same issue...what we did was go with neutral color likes...tan, brown, beiges...those kind of colors. HTH

We have a house so i am able to do towels and bedding. I would suggest something neutral. Pick what you like. i actually bought my bedding before the house and i designed our bedroom around it.
as far as plates, i have my everyday set and my grandmothers rosenthal china. so i am no help there.
you may check my registry at any time and laugh at my massive pot collection!! i have no clue what I want, so i put it all and will get surpirsed!!

The mikasa set is probably Countryside Italian...that's the boxed set I mentioned as well. Just simple white dishes with slight ridges on the rims, very classic.
that what i put!! its gorgeous!! i put all the serving pieces!!

we saw that i thinkkkkk and didnt end up scanning it bc we didnt like the cups too much... dont ask i think ill be puttin on alot from the website instead
hahahah i totally scan like every day!!!!!!!! FH thinks its crazy and hysterical but he deals and says its fine. U can def look at my registry, ill FM u my last name :) we registered at BBB and Fortunoffs (my fortunoff one has a LOT more registered than the BBB one we get a percentage of money to spend from Fortunoffs after the wedding based on what was spent )

oh and about bedding and bathroom! we havent done bedroom yet, still debating on what we want, but bathroom we went and chose this seafoam green color out of the blue becuz we knew we could just exchange it after. It ends up we got some of them and were given some white ones and found that we actually LOVE the seafoam and now want to make our bathroom those colors hahah
i totally recommend registring for just any color that strikes you at the time u can always exchange it later if u hate it then

I would say try to do some things closer to your shower like towels bedding and some extras like tupperware etc. Things get discontinued. As for dishes My everday are plain white with a swirl. i went with something classic & always in style. Stoneware. They are 40 per 4 piece place setting.
My Fine china is also classic something always in style. 4 piece place setting 110.00 per setting. HTH! If u need to see my registry i will fm u if need be.
If u do towels etc u go with what u have now. Always do neutrals they will always match.
I am so confused registering. I feel like no one store has everything I want.
BBB I did for all basic appliances, bakeware, cookware
C-n-B I did for glassware, serving dishes and flatware.
then I'm confused between fortunoff, bloomy's and macys. Macys has the most bedding ( I have yet to find anything I like) but everything else seems to have to be ordered.
BTW...I didn't do China but I did do Rosenthal Loft white dishes that can be dressed up and also used for everyday. $200 for 4 place settings. I'm going to also dress it up with lots of Nambe silver stuff.
If anyone wouldn't mind, can you FM me your info so I can see your registry, I'll reply back with my info as well...TIA
I just skipped the towels for now, pretty much everything else can be painted to my specifications !!! It is a little harder/much more expensive to deal with changing bathroom tiles so I will hold off on towels for now, I'm sure I will get gift cards that I can use for them anyway. My mom teaches home ec, so I am coming from a pretty well outfited kitchen and am spoiled so there are plenty of other things on there for people to buy anyway.
