I went to florissima in huntington today. I told the lady that I am not really a fan of flowers...I just need a sufficient amount of flowers to be considered a wedding. I stated that tall CPs are too much for me...we agreed on those silver julep cups or glass vases...
She said that she couldnt do this job for ANY LESS THAN 2900K. I cannot justify this price...she said that was the low end...that 3.7K is getting the tall CPs..etc.
AM I JUST REALLY OFF/CHEAP??? There must be some girls in LIW who simply won't pay that much??
PLEASE HELP ME.. I am willing to do it myself, but I need some crafty advice too!!

Try Trina at Floral Expressions(vendor on here). She does beautiful work and worked within my budget. Also ask a florist what is in season adn inexpensive. I am using carnations packed tightly on a topiary ball and stuck on a candlestick.

Cheap! Then I must take the prize! I am only getting personal flowers and a set-up of my centerpieces from my florist for only 600. She is also decorating my hall- bunting on the stairs, one flower arrangement set up at hall etc. I really don't like the smell of too many cut flowers- for some reason it reminds me of funerals. So I made my own- painted wooden lighthouse from Michaels, surrounded by silk rose petals and votive candles. There are so many ideas out there to do. FM if you want my florist information- she is great and creative. If you don't want high centerpieces, she is definately for you!

No way! You're not cheap! I was not going to spend nearly that much. I was hoping to keep it around $2000, and if I can do it for less, then great!
