Went to a mortgage broker today!!...

with the intention of finding out what we can afford with regards to a co-op. After talking to the mortgage broker (my friend's husband) we decided against a co-op and now we are thinking of buying a HOUSE!!! Well, it is all very overwhelming and exciting!! We wont start looking until April or May but at least we know that we can keep our eyes open for some stuff.

Hey..we have like NO money too!!! Fh and I went to get some information and to gain some knowledge about the market. We walked away from the meeting knowincg MUCH more about our credit, and financial capabilities. The mortgage broker even helped me figure out how to improve my credit rating. It wasnt that bad, but better is always good!! I would suggest going to talk to a mortgage broker. It is free and it is TOTALLY worth it!! Its much more deasible than you think!!!

i just dont wanna get my hopes up ya know...my credit is shot to $hit...it was sooo hard for me to get a car loan

but i guess we could try but i am going in pessimistic!(sp)

This site helped me so much.. It gives ideas of what is out there.. also stop in at open house when you pass them.. even if it is not in your price range.. you can see what you do and dont like about houses.. this will help you narrow down what type of house you will want...

Well, I have good credit but it could be better. He said that, for me, opening 2 or 3 more credit cards but NOT using them is a good way for me to build up my credit because it shows that you have available credit in your name. They dont always look at what you owe...they also look at what you have. He also said to be sure oto pay all bills on time. Acutally, he said that a lte payment does not go onto your credit report unless it is later than 30 days..if it is earlier than 30 but still late for the credit company, then you will just be charged for the late payment from the company
