went to a wedding Friday night...
And the bride (my cousin) chose the very dress I am (WAS) going to wear. I cannot believe out of all the dresses in the world, she chose the same exact one. Maybe it was my fault for not asking her, but I can not wear it now, as my family has already seen the dress. I do not know what to do now, since I am getting married in less than 8 months. I want to cry because it took me forever to find something I loved. What should I do? I am so sad and worried that I don't have much time. I still can't believe that this happened.

I think you should keep the dress. you felt a connection to it and you shouldn't change it cause your family already saw it. your a different person then your cousin and it will be unique to you when you wear it, im sure your hair, veil headpiece will be different. one of my best friends actually ended up choosing the same dress as me. she is getting married after me but she decided to keep the dress also because its gonna look different because we are different people. Don't change it especially since it took you so long to find it. you will be happy in that dress don't worry :)

I think you should keep your dress. I think the only person who will notice that the dress is the same is your cousin. You picked your dress for a reason. The dress is going to look different on you than on your cousin. You could always add something to your dress if you want to make it different, like a belt or a broach.

I agree, all your accessories will be different as will the woman wearing it! Everyone wears dresses differently which is why every dress looks different on every person. Nobody is even gonna realize it's the same dress, especially eight months from now. Don't panic and do anything rash. You fell in love with your dress for a reason and now you have a connection with it.

That's crazy. You fell in love with it for a reason. Nobody will even realize it's the same dress a year later. Keep the dress!

It's difficult to find a connection to a dress. If you love your dress you keep it!!!

There is a reason why you choose 'The Dress'! There was a connection when you put on the dress and you can not second guess that. You are still going to look beautiful and no one will even know. You wear the dress and you wear it well!

Oh man that sucks! I wouldn't change your mind if that's the dress u love! I know your family has seen it but they might not even remember it. Also you could always change it a little bit like adding a belt or getting something added to make it a little different like straps. I don't know what it looks like so I'm not sure what would work but just some ideas!

I would keep it. Are you close with your cousin? Heck, it could be a nice inside joke for you too, later on down the road. It could be something to reminiscence on.Welcome New Vendors
