I went to a wedding- I won't say when-but very recently. Now, I am only posting this because I figure it may help some brides which I know are getting married there soon. My question is-should I post the negatives? I think they can be corrected but I don't want to offend anyone?

I think it is fair to explain both the good and bad things. Obviously if you are talking about things that vendors do that can be fixed...I think you can mention that if any one is using 'so and so', they should consider 'blank' (add sugestion). I would not just make it a negative review, that would be rude.

I would say yes, wouldn't you want to know if it was your place.

I think you should mention the negatives in a good way so they can make sure they work on those issues before their wedding.. Like I would go to my hall and say listen I want to make sure I have this this & that ahead of time...I dont think i would be offended ... I would make sure i work out with my hall these negative issues i heard about online..

Re: Went to a wedding on LI
i would think that any bride getting married there would want to know what it is so that they can bring up the concerns with the hall to make sure it doesn't happen to their guests...that plus i'm sure the hall would appreciate knowing where it can make itself better

Re: Went to a wedding on LI
Okay, here we go. The wedding was at The Brentwood Country club. Let me first say, that the ceremony was beautiful and went off without a hitch. Then we went to the outdoor cocktail hour. Now I understand people don't want to wait for the food to come out, but it may have been sitting in the chaffing dishes for a bit too long. A lot of the food was dried out. Some of it wasn't and what wasn't was great! Let me also say that this was a wedding with 90 guests. For 90 guests they had one bartender during the cocktail hour and this was hard on the bartender. Literally 90 people were waiting on line for drinks. I would possibly ask to add in another bartender for the cocktail hour. We waited 25 minutes on line. The staff was very professional but if guests left the table-they scooped up their food. A few people were upset about this. I would just mention for the waitstaff to please leave the plates unless a guest tells you otherwise.-A pain in the butt yes-but unless the plates are empty or if you asked the guest than maybe they should be left. Now, the set-up was better during the reception and they added a bartender-MUCH better-no problems after that. Brentwood Country club was clean, professional, and pretty. I just didn't want to offend anyone when I made these observations. I think the BCC brides will have a great day. Hopefully this helps-not hurts.

I think by posting you can help the brides because they can tell the hall about your visit. You did a good job

Thank you. I really didn't want to hurt anyone's feeling because they were not big issues just some things that can be easily fixed.
