Went to a wedding this weekend, learned some stuff

I went to my cousin's wedding in NH this weekend. Although it wasn't a LI wedding, I wanted to report back on some things I learned.

1. Wear sunscreen to an outdoor ceremony. Although it was only a half hour, I got sunburned. I am now including sunscreen in our OOT bags.

2. The DJ must play right away...or people will leave. Their DJ talked too much and didn't start the dancing until 2 hours into it. Some people had already left after their dinner.

3. Details count. I missed things like programs. I did love her theme though, garden. The tables were named for flowers and the placecards were set up as a garden. Also have the DJ announce to remind people to sign things like a signing board, guest guest book or wish bowl. No one did it until he announced it probably because they didn't know what it was. (of course I knew what it was, thanks to LIW! )

4. OOT guest bags are a great thing to have especially if you are coming in from out of state. It made us really feel welcomed!

Let's see, some crackers and cookies, maps, some homemade bread stuff( which I thought was strange, something you would need to put in at the last minute) chips, pretzels, and some wine stuff that was native to NH. I liked how the stuff like the wine and the chips were from the area. That was pretty much it.
