Went to bridal store and i couldn't help feeling annoyed, maybe a bride can help me

when i looked inside the gowns all labels were ripped out, I asked the owner who the designer was and the store owner looked inside the dress as though she was expecting to find the label then went in the back, came out and told me Mori Lee, I looked on the website and this gown wasnt there.... I think the gown is way overpriced and i was hoping I can get it through netbride.com for cheaper....

Have you see this dress?
Gown Description:

Square neck line,
see through double lined long sleeved with crystal and applicae on the arms.
A line white saten with an organza overlay.
it has an attached Train
the front of the gown has a what looks like aan upside down V overlay (thats tacked to the gown) along the edging of the V there is crystal and applicae finish, IF you have seen this gown (or think you have ) please post a pic with the designer, I am on the higher end of the plus size and havent seen anything else

The same thing happened to me. I went to Lillettes in Baldwin tonight. Some places actually don't do this. Have u tried TheKnot.com? U can put in what kind of neckline u want and it will bring up all the ones they have!

Thanks Ill try to find one I checked out the knot.com under square neck line and its not there

If anyone sees anything that may look like this please let me know

I hate when they do that. mine actually had a different lable in it!! I didnt now it was Emme till it came in!

What place did you go to? The only reason I'm asking is b/c I ordered my dress and in the store they told me it was by 1 designer and the next day when I called they told me a totally different designer. I still can't get a photo of the dress b/c I can't find it online either.

OMG the same thing happened to me yesterday. I knew the markuup on my MOH dress was insane so I run around trying to get the style number so I can get a quote from netbride. Then they say they don't know the style number all they have is their in store stock #...yea right. So I hunt hunt hunt, till I finally find the dress number and then I pretend to be a new customer and call the store to find out if they have the dress and they said yes, all of a sudden they know the dresses by the designer style #. Well anyway the price in the store on that Belsoie gown was $232.00. I got a quote from pearls place for $160.

All the salons are catching on to the internet ordering now so they are very cautious. when i got my BM dresses it was like pulling teeth to get the designer. i just wanted it so i could find the picture of it online. they only gave it to me AFTER my first girl left her deposit. good luck!

I know how annoying that can be. my mom fell in love with a dress and the store voluntarily gave me the name of the designer (I didn't even ask) and it turned out to be a manufacturer of racy (really gross) men's thing underwear!!!!

Sometimes I understand why they do this but if these stores kept their prices competitive - they woudln't need to. Most of us would prefer to go to a reputable shop instead of ordering online but they have to keep prices reasonable.

I know I saw it on bridesave too for cheaper.

Where did you buy your dress from?

I am actually going to try my dress on again tomorrow. It's too big on me and we are meeting with seamstress. I want to know how she is going to make this dress fit me. It's way to long and if I am not satisfied I want them to order me another dress in the correct size.

for the FM of dresses that were very close, but ih def. has a square neck line and the difference is below the waist it looks like the skirt splits open and theres another skirt underneith in saten (the outside which is split looks like an upside down V with crystal beading along the trim and along the bottom)
