So, I havent seen all that many rhs at allll, but I am in loveee with Jericho Terrace. Everything is right about it...extra selling points for me was that it was so close to Queens but also close to Nassau obviously and not too far from Suffolk. Other GREAT selling point is that they have a dedicated room for guests who dont have anywhere to go between ceremony and ch.
I am seeing CHC, Chataeu Briand, maybe New Hyde Park Inn today.
Although a place for example like Fox Hollow was beautiful, it wasnt my style. Of course I dont want chincy and gold everywhere type of things, I am more a marble kinda girl.
Can anyone give other reccomendations of rhs that fit this? Either Nassau or very beginning of Suffolk? Thanks!

Re: Went to Jericho Terrace last night!
2 of my bestfriends got married there... and i loved it. it wasnt a choice of mine because i wouldn't want to have my wedding in the same place as one of my best friends. i dont feel that is right. i know everyone has mixed feelings on that, and i believe that no one is right or wrong. i think it's preference

Lol. Thanks. I dont think I actually meant that Im a marble girl, just not necessarily a complete old world, lodge feeling wedding girl. I am calling back after 10am to make an appt with Chateau Briand. Yay! So, what made you finally decide on CB over JT?

Thanks everyone! Glad to hear good things. And the banquet manager was really good. I didnt get that uncomfortable feeling you sometimes get (or atleat I do) when a salesmen is selling you on something.

I fell in love with the look of CB over JT more and the price. I absolutely love the cocktail hour room at CB-it has blue velvet booths that are just soo awesome looking, i feel CB is more my style than JT

You have to keep in mind i'm in the winter, for CB its $72 before tax and gratuity and for JT it was i think $78 before tax and gratuity both with a minimum of 150

Look at floral Terrace. Its a different feel so you may love it and its close to queens.
I will say, if you meet with a woman, dont let her turn you off, the other staff is way nicer. Maybe I got her on a bad day, but she was awful.

Yeah, Im thinking of doing winter too. I never considered it but thats the easiest and best way to save and I think I will do it. I dont care about cold or rain ( I mean I do care but I can deal, but I just PRAY for no snow). I got him down a JT to under $70 for a Sunday in the winter. I still think its a little high, I thought I had heard about quotes in the 50s for winters on a Sunday at RHs. Thanks

I absolutely love the room at Floral Terrace but unfortunately wont consider because of the lack on decor and curb appeal on the outside.
