Went to Jericho Terrace last night!

Original post by MrsSoto

So, I havent seen all that many rhs at allll, but I am in loveee with Jericho Terrace. Everything is right about it...extra selling points for me was that it was so close to Queens but also close to Nassau obviously and not too far from Suffolk. Other GREAT selling point is that they have a dedicated room for guests who dont have anywhere to go between ceremony and ch.

I am seeing CHC, Chataeu Briand, maybe New Hyde Park Inn today.

Although a place for example like Fox Hollow was beautiful, it wasnt my style. Of course I dont want chincy and gold everywhere type of things, I am more a marble kinda girl.

Can anyone give other reccomendations of rhs that fit this? Either Nassau or very beginning of Suffolk? Thanks!

I'm partial to Jericho Terrace, since, like you its completely my style. Since, we have similiar styles, my other favorite was Chateau Briand...so check that one out- definatly- its BEAUTIFUL!

But I have to say, since booking with JT, they've been nothing but the most helpful, nicest people. And the food is DELICIOUS!

do you mind me asking what kind of price you got? or what you were quoted at least and then what you got it down to? im doing very very basic, not really an add ons.

You have to keep in mind i'm in the winter, for CB its $72 before tax and gratuity and for JT it was i think $78 before tax and gratuity both with a minimum of 150

Yeah, Im thinking of doing winter too. I never considered it but thats the easiest and best way to save and I think I will do it. I dont care about cold or rain ( I mean I do care but I can deal, but I just PRAY for no snow). I got him down a JT to under $70 for a Sunday in the winter. I still think its a little high, I thought I had heard about quotes in the 50s for winters on a Sunday at RHs. Thanks

Chateau Briand is cheaper than JT. Both are VERY nice halls. Also, check out March. I was surprised, but March is a VERY cheap month. I think CB quoted us somewhere around $65 for a sat. afternoon wedding in march.

FH loved CB. It isn't my style either, but the staff at CB is so helpful Jericho Terrace and CB were on my short list.

Also for marble I recommend Crest Hollow Country Club and North Ritz

What about The Royalton? Never been but I hear its gorgeous.

The Royalton is Georgous! Check it out! It has marble floors in the foyer! And the ballroom is all wood floors... no rugs (which i liked). I can't wait to be there celebrating!

I am partial to Jericho Terrace because since we have booked there they have done nothing but try and help us with anything that we needed... We got the dome room upstairs and during the day it should be such a beautiful room with the sun shining through....

My next favorite was the Chateau Briand and then the Swan Club...

Def. check out the north ritz club. I fell in love as soon as I saw it!! It is only one wedding at a time. I think it might be a bit pricer than what you were looking for but I only asked for a Sat. evening in the summer. I wouldn't budge from that (much to FH's dismay when he saw the price lol)

sunday wedding in the winter may be less expensive
