last night to pick the menu, etc. The place looked SO great! The new bars outside are really nice, and the flowers, etc. look beautiful. I was told that the fence would start going up today most likely...I am not sure if I believe this, but that would be nice if it were true - it really was noticeable that the street is RIGHT THERE! Anyways, they told us that the fence should take three days or so to be put up. The cocktail hour room looked especially nice as well - they changed how it it set up (now the food displays are in the middle more with the table on the outside....).
George, the maitre d', is SO nice - we really liked him. He was very helpful with picking the menu - he even threw in some extras for us, which was nice.
All in all, the place is beautiful, and I got really excited seeing it again!

woohooo!!!!! so glad it went well!! thanks for sharing! good luck!! George is so nice - he is your maitre'd the day of? i remember them telling me you get to meet with your maitre d' before the wedding-- i really liked that idea-no other place that i knew of did that!

I think George was the Maitre'd at my friends wedding...her MOH was trying to hook up w/ him all night! It really is a great place. Good luck!

jillybean66- When you signed the contract did you have the old menu from villa victor or the one they are doing now? See when we signed we had the old one and when we found out about the new one (thanks to Ida) they wanted $10 more to upgrade to that one and we had a big fight with Ida about it. In the end we got a few thing off of the new menu but I was wondering if they will even remember that. Did you have to bring a menu with you?

George is really nice. We met with him too to pick out the menu. I don't really think they will be putting up that fence soon. When I went last week he told me they didn't even have the permit yet. I'm surprised he told you they are going to start putting it up within the next few days. I can't let it bother me, we will have a wonderful day despite Jericho Tpke. We used the new menu to pick out our food choices. I never even saw a Villa Victor menu.
